Involvement

Cal Poly's Systems Optimization Club

Giving Back (2022-2023)

As a past member and contributor to the club, I felt excited at the opportunity to give back to the current student members. This year, I sponsored a project to a group of students where we created a live quality dashboard in tableau that turned data insights into actions. I helped the students learn first-hand about data extraction, cleaning, and presentation. Volunteering for the club helped me find a passion for educating, and I plan to continue exploring avenues to be a resource for students and young professionals.

Involvement and Development:

President (2020-2021), Vice President (2019-2020), Brand Manager (2018-2019), Project Manager (2017-2018)

My contributions to the club throughout my college career transformed SOC’S professional legitimacy to a respected engineering consulting service through the execution of strategic initiatives related to marketing, quality of services, value to customers, stakeholder engagement, and finances (during the COVID Pandemic).

In addition to the above, I managed projects, the club's social media networks, negotiated and signed terms to numerous projects, executed essential tasks for the club's function, and was constantly forced me outside my comfort zone

This different and challenging work helped me find a passion in developing systems, leading something I am proud of, and leaving a legacy for future students to make their mark on.
